Mr. Nafees Khundker is one of the nominated Director of the Bank Asia Securities Ltd. He worked for Standard Chartered Bank and Deutsche Bank in Bangladesh, UAE and Singapore for more than 20 years. His last assignment was as Managing Director, Head of Transaction Banking, ASEAN, Commercial Banking. His expertise is in Corporate & Financial Institutions client coverage, Transaction Banking and Strategic Partnerships. Mr. Khundker is currently engaged in setting up a Venture Capital Fund for investments into South and South East Asia. He has investments and board oversight in various businesses in retail, distribution, finance, media, information technology and logistics. He also has a special interest in sustainability initiatives and works with small non-profit organizations.

Mr. Md. Abul Quasem completed his B.S.S. (Hons) and M.S.S. in Economics in 1973 and 1974 respectively from University of Dhaka. He started his career with Bangladesh Bank, the Central Bank of Bangladesh, as Assistant Director in 1976 and concluded the same as Deputy Governor in 2016. During his about 40 years tenure with Bangladesh Bank, he performed responsibilities in many departments like Currency Management, Payment System, Accounts & Budgeting, Debt Management, Human Resources, SME & Special Programs, Agricultural Credit, Communications & Printing, Common Services, Investment Promotion & Financial Facility, Expenditure Management, Research, Statistics, Central Bank Strengthening Project (CBSP), Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU), etc. Besides being a career central banker, Mr. Quasem held many important administrative positions like Observer in the Board of The City Bank Limited & Pubali Bank Limited, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM), Director of Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited, Director of SME Foundation and Director of Security Printing Corporation (BD) Limited. While working in Bangladesh Bank, he attended many domestic/foreign training programs and seminars organized by different international organizations in various countries around the globe.

Mr. Kazi Sanaul Hoq is one of the nominated Director of Bank Asia Securities Ltd. Mr. Kazi Sanaul Hoq is also a Director & Chairman to the Board of Directors of Rupali Bank Limited. Prior to joining in Rupali Bank Limited, he was Managing Director of Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB), Karmasangsthan Bank and Rajshahi Krishi Unnoyan Bank.Besides, he was Managing Director of Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited from 9 February 2020 to 7 January 2021.

He has been working as the Chairman of ICB Capital Management Ltd. He also served as the Director of many listed and non-listed reputed firms i.e. British American Tobacco Bangladesh Co. Ltd, Linde Bangladesh Limited, GlaxoSmithKline Bangladesh Limited, Renata Limited, United Power Generation & Distribution Company Limited, Heidelberg Cement Bangladesh Limited, Bangladesh KrishiGobeshona Endowment Trust (BKGET), Credit Rating Information and Services Limited (CRISL), Standard Bank Limited, SBL Capital Management Limited, Standard Bank Securities Limited, National Tea Company Limited, Apex Footwear Limited, Apex Tannery Limited, Peninsula Hotel Limited, Ratanpur Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, Aramit Limited, Aramit Thai Aluminium Limited, Central Depository Bangladesh Ltd. (CDBL), Industrial and Infrastructure Development Finance Company Ltd (IIDFCL), Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM) among others.

He completed his Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) and Masters in Commerce in Accounting from University of Dhaka. Apart from various professional training programs inside the country, he availed special training of Identification & Rehabilitation of Sick projects, Jawaharlal Nehru Institute for Development Banking, Hydrabad, India, Breakthrough Leadership, The ICLIF Leadership and Governance Centre, Kualalumpur, Malaysia, Cyber Security, City Bank Cyber Infusion Centre, New Jersy& City Bank New York, USA and Sustainable Finance Development, EOSD (Enabling Sustainability Worldwide) Conference, Karlsruhe, Germany. For Official purpose he visited India, Malaysia, USA, Germany etc.

Mr. Sohail R K Hussain is the Managing Director of Bank Asia PLC. Prior to joining Bank Asia PLC, Mr. Hussain led two leading private commercial banks in the country- Meghna Bank Limited as Managing Director & CEO since 2020 and the Managing Director & CEO of City Bank Limited from 2013 to 2019. Under his leadership the banks received a number of national and international awards including DHL – The Daily Star Bangladesh Business Award, CMAB Best Corporate Award, Finance Asia Best Bank Award, Global Finance World’s Best Digital Bank awards etc. Starting career at ANZ Grindlays Bank Mr. Hussain worked in different capacities and leadership positions in Standard Chartered and Eastern Bank Limited. In his illustrious career of more than 33 years, Mr. Hussain is versatile and skilled as well as experienced in different fields of banking including Re-engineering banks, developing and executing strategic plans, Corporate Banking, SME, Green Banking, Retail Banking , Infrastructure Financing, digital solutions, centralization operations , Islamic banking window operations, Cards business, treasury, Agent Banking, equity and quasi equity transactions redefining strategies, merger & acquisition, advisory & structured finance transaction and bringing in strategic equity investors. Mr. Hussain is a Notredemian and did his MBA from IBA, Dhaka University. He has participated in numerous trainings, seminars and symposiums in country and abroad. He was the Vice President of Association of Bankers, Bangladesh (ABB). He is well connected with number of institutional bodies and social activities.

Md. Sazzad Hossain is one of the Director of Bank Asia Securities Limited. He is about 28 years experienced banker, currently working as Deputy Managing Director at Bank Asia Limited. He has completed M. Com major in Finance & Banking from University of Dhaka. He started his career at Pubali Bank Ltd as Probationary Officer. Later he worked at NCC Bank Ltd, Eastern Bank Ltd at various positions.

Mr. Sheikh Mohammad Anisuzzaman, nominated Director of Bank Asia Securities Ltd, is one of the analytical, knowledge-based and thoughtful financial services professionals with hands-on experience in core banking, relevant corporate governance, research, strategic planning, consultancy, academic and marketing in his twenty five years of career. He is currently officiating as company secretary of Bank Asia.  He also delivered his services in Research & Strategy Division, Marketing & Communication, Service Quality, Credit Management Department at different banks.

He completed his BSc (Hons.) and MSc. in Economics in 1992 and 1995 respectively from Jahangirnagar University. He also completed MBA (Finance) from IBA, University of Dhaka. Besides, he acquired MS in Finance from Manchester Business School, the University of Manchester, UK in 2002. During his long professional career, he worked most of the time in bank industry working at Bank Asia, Brac Bank, Prime Bank and City Bank. Apart from banking career, he also enrolled as assistant Professor in City University at Finance Department and American International University-Bangladesh, Dhaka at Finance and Banking department.

Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil is one of the Director of Bank Asia Securities Limited and Chief Financial Officer of Bank Asia Limited. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and Banker having 10 (ten) years banking experience and 3 (three) years Professional Accountancy firm. He completed his Masters in Accounting and Chartered Accountant degree from Institute of Chartered Accountant of Bangladesh (ICAB).

He started his career with ACNABIN, Chartered Accountants (independent member of Baker Tilly International and Former member firm of Arthur Andersen) in 2005. Later he joined in AB Bank Limited as Senior Principal Officer in 2008. In 2012, he joined in Bank Asia Limited as First Vice President and Head of Accounts. At present, he is working as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President (SVP) of the Bank.
